How image table extraction works
The OCR engine recognizes text and analyzes where values appear on the page. When it detects a table, it maps content into rows and columns that can be copied or downloaded for Google Sheets.
Prepare the image
- Crop to the relevant table or list.
- Keep the camera parallel to the page.
- Use sharp focus and even lighting.
- Avoid tiny screenshots and heavy compression.
- Review merged headers and wrapped descriptions after extraction.
